The death of my father was the birth of my career in the fitness industry.

It was out of tragedy that I found strength, determination and focus to put my energy into becoming a strong man with a mission to succeed to make myself someone I would be proud of, but ultimately who he would be proud of.  If he hadn’t have passed away I honestly don’t believe the level of success I’ve had would have been possible in such a short space of time. It was like throwing fuel on the fire where you can either self destruct or grow into something special.
When you lose someone through depression there is always a sense of feeling you could have done more. There has always been a part of me that hopes I’ll come into contact with people who are also battling with some type of depression and I can be that positive influence in their lives to help them to the best of my ability through exercise, motivation and genuine empathy and connection.

You cannot control the cards life deals you, but you can decide how you’re going to play your hand.
