BIT BEEFY - RUNNING...

"I started to love running when I realised I couldn’t control it, I started to love it when I realised that it was a gift to be able to put one foot in front of the other.  I fell in love with running when I realised it was a new way to see the world, to meet people.  I fell in love when I realised that it had changed my life and it was changing the lives of those that I’d chosen to surround myself with.

When it goes well, its beautiful, when it doesn’t it’s a beautiful disaster. When you break through that 30 min barrier where your body is still challenging you slip into a rhythm, its euphoric where breathing and movement are one, unified, you stop thinking about both and you just float. When you accelerate you feel like you’re a hovercraft or spaceship just soaring.  Now try explaining that to someone who hates running and finds it painful.  Even when it goes wrong its beautiful as you either lie there really struggling or whilst you’re still there you ask yourself how this makes sense as last week you ran 20 miles no problem but now 5 mins into run you’re on deaths door."
